I had planned to publish another travel post today, but after the response I had to this picture I decided to move this post up a few weeks.
Winter is in full swing in South Africa. Temperatures have dropped to around 16C in Joburg (freezing for us!) and this is of course paired with the return of the rolling blackout. But I have a solution to warm your heart and those icy cold fingers.
This hot chocolate uses a whopping slab and a half of chocolate for just two cups! That’s pure chocolate decadence! Flavoured with a hint of cinnamon and just a touch of chilli for some extra warmth, this hot chocolate will see you through the winter.
I added some home-made cinnamon marshmallows for an extra special touch. These are so easy to make and are just as delicious melted on sweet potatoes or in oatmeal. Sure, turn your healthy nose up at me now, but come back to me once you’ve tried it!
