I mentioned in this post that during our few short days in London, we had decided to go to a nice restaurant. We chose Pieds Nus because of its high rating on Trip Advisor and relatively budget friendly price ranges. An extra bonus was that at the time it was located around the corner from where we were staying. Pieds Nus is a pop-up restaurant that moves around London, as space becomes available.
On arriving at the restaurant I was SERIOUSLY questioning our choice. The metal fold out chairs and string of lights hung from the ceiling didn’t quite match up to my expectations. I firmly reminded myself of the research I’d done (I’m big on research) and we decided to go with it.
Thank goodness we did! Our meal at Pieds Nus is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. ET described the food as “stupidly good”.
The menu encourages sharing dishes instead of ordering individually. On the advice of our waitress we ordered four dishes to share. Each dish was beautifully presented with flavours that complemented one another perfectly.
My favourite course of any meal is dessert. A bad dessert can ruin an amazing meal for me. Pieds Nus did not disappoint with a tart tatin: packed with a beautiful combination of spices and baked to perfection. The vanilla seeds were visible home-made vanilla ice-cream. A heavenly combination.
